영어성경으로 신앙생활과 영어실력의 두 마리 토끼를 잡아보자. 킹제임스 성경(영어 The King James Version 약칭 KJV 영어 The King James Bible 약칭 KJB) 또는 흠정역 성경(欽定譯聖經 영어 The Authorized Version 약칭 AV)은 영국 국왕 제임스 1세가 영국 성공회의 예배에 사용할 수 있는 표준 성경을 번역하라는 명령에 따라 영국 성공회가 1604년에 번역을 시작하여 1611년에 끝마친 기독교 성경의 영어 번역본이다. 여기서 흠정(欽定)의 뜻은 "임금이 몸소 제정함"이란 뜻이다. 흠정역 성경은 19세기 말까지 영국 성공회에서 사용된 유일한 공식 영어 성경이다.
